What we do
The whole journey, from one desk.
The route, the road, the flights, the beds and the paperwork. Each service below is described honestly — what is included, what to expect and what we need from you — with its own enquiry form.
One consultant
The person who answers your first message is the person who holds your file to the last transfer.
Checked before proposed
Availability, driving times and permits are verified before anything is put in front of you.
No published rates
Every quotation is built for your dates and party. Nothing is added after you agree.
Service
Bespoke safaris
Private journeys written for your dates, your party and your pace.
This is the work we do most. You tell us when you can travel, who is coming and what you most want to see; we come back with a written route, night by night, with the driving times and the trade-offs explained. Nothing is taken off a shelf, and nothing is booked until you have read it and are ready.
What is included
- A written day-by-day proposal with driving times, meals and level of stay
- A private vehicle and professional guide for the safari days
- Camp and lodge selection matched to the level you choose, with alternatives where availability is tight
- Park, reserve and conservancy fees quoted inside the proposal rather than added later
- Internal light-aircraft seats timed against the route, where the itinerary needs them
- A pre-departure briefing and a direct number for your consultant while you travel
Good to know
- We do not publish rates. Every quotation is built for your dates, party size and level of stay.
- First proposals usually take three to five working days once we have your answers.
- Revisions are part of the process — most journeys change twice before they are right.
Best for: Couples, families and small groups who want the route to fit them rather than the other way round.
Service
Ground tours & transfers
Airport meet-and-greet, private 4x4s, cross-border road transfers and complete ground handling.
The unglamorous half of a good safari, and the half that decides how the trip feels. We handle the picking up, the loading, the border paperwork and the long days between parks with our own drivers and vehicles, so the same guide stays with you and the timings are ours to keep.
What is included
- Airport meet-and-greet with a named driver and a printed arrival board
- Private 4x4 safari vehicles with a professional driver-guide, fuel and maintenance included
- Cross-border road transfers with the paperwork prepared before you reach the border
- Day tours and city transfers from Nairobi, Mombasa, Arusha, Kigali and Cape Town
- Ground handling for groups: manifests, rooming lists, luggage trucks and coordination
- A backup vehicle arrangement on long or remote routes
Good to know
- Late-night and early-morning airport transfers are normal for us — tell us the flight number and we will track it.
- Land border crossings need printed documents; we prepare the file and carry copies.
- Long driving days are planned deliberately, with stops and a picnic rather than a forced march.
Best for: Anyone arriving on an international flight, and any journey that crosses a land border.
Service
Flight bookings
International fares and internal light-aircraft seats, ticketed and timed against your itinerary.
Internal flights decide the shape of a safari more than most travellers expect: a 45-minute hop can replace a nine-hour drive. We hold the seats against your route, explain the baggage limits before you pack, and re-time the ground arrangements if an airline changes a schedule.
What is included
- International fare options into and out of the region, with routing advice
- Internal light-aircraft and scheduled seats between camps, parks and cities
- Flight timings checked against transfers, camp check-in and park gates
- Baggage limits explained in writing before you fly — soft bags and weight limits are common
- Ticketing once the itinerary is agreed, with the fare rules spelled out
- Help with schedule changes and re-connections while you are travelling
Good to know
- Light aircraft usually allow 15kg in soft bags per person; some camps allow less.
- We ticket only once the route is agreed, so nothing is paid on a journey that may still change.
- Fares move daily. The price we quote is the price at the time of checking, not a held rate.
Best for: Travellers combining countries, and anyone who would rather fly a long leg than drive it.
Service
Hotel reservations
Camps, lodges and city hotels held and confirmed to fit the rest of the journey.
A reservation desk that knows the difference between a camp that photographs well and one that works for a family of five in the rain. We hold rooms against your route, check the actual room configuration rather than the brochure, and tell you when a property is the wrong shape for your party.
What is included
- Camps, lodges, tented camps and city hotels held against your dates
- Room configurations checked for families, triples and single travellers
- Pre and post safari nights in Nairobi, Arusha, Kigali, Windhoek and Cape Town
- Special requests passed to the property — diets, birthdays, connecting rooms, early check-in
- Alternative properties proposed when your first choice is full
- Confirmation documents and a single point of contact for changes
Good to know
- We do not name properties on this website. Suggested camps appear in your written proposal.
- Small camps sell out far ahead in high season; earlier is genuinely better.
- Hotel-only bookings are welcome, though safari guests usually get the better arrangements through a full itinerary.
Best for: Travellers who need rooms that actually fit their party, and anyone building a trip around a fixed event.
Service
MICE & corporate travel
Incentive groups, conferences and retreats, with safari add-ons and guest logistics handled.
Groups fail on logistics, not on ambition. We run incentive trips, board retreats and conference add-ons with one coordinator, a single manifest and a plan for what happens when a flight is late with forty people on it. The safari is the reward; the operation behind it is ours.
What is included
- Incentive journeys, leadership retreats and conference pre- and post-tours
- Group manifests, rooming lists, dietary sheets and arrival waves managed in one place
- Ground logistics: coaches and 4x4s, luggage trucks, marshals and signage
- Site inspections and a costed proposal before anything is committed
- On-site coordination during the programme, plus a 24-hour desk contact
- Optional team activities — conservation days, community projects, walking and photography
Good to know
- Group movements work best from ten guests upwards; smaller parties are usually better served by a private safari.
- Lead times of three to six months give the best choice of camps and flights.
- We will say plainly when a destination cannot absorb your group size comfortably.
Best for: Companies and organisers moving a group of ten or more, where one accountable coordinator matters.
Service
Visa processing
Entry requirements checked for every country on your route, with application support from our desk.
A multi-country itinerary means several sets of entry rules, and they change. We check the requirements for your nationality against every country on the route — including the ones you only transit — and prepare the applications with you so nothing is discovered at a check-in desk.
What is included
- Entry, visa and transit requirements checked per country and per nationality
- Support with e-visa and electronic travel authorisation applications
- A document checklist: passports, photographs, invitations, itineraries and insurance
- Guidance on East African tourist visa arrangements and where they do and do not apply
- Family and child documentation requirements, including consent letters
- A final document review before you fly
Good to know
- Decisions rest with the immigration authorities; we prepare and advise, we cannot guarantee an outcome.
- Apply inside the window the authority specifies — too early can be as unhelpful as too late.
- Rules for children and for dual nationals are the ones most often missed. Tell us at the start.
Best for: Multi-country routes, first-time visitors to East Africa and families travelling with children.
Service
Homestay experiences
A night or two with a host family, arranged with the community’s consent and a guide on hand.
A homestay is not a cheaper lodge. It is a different kind of evening: cooking, conversation and a night somewhere you would never otherwise sleep. We arrange them only with families and communities who have chosen to host, on terms agreed in advance, and with a guide nearby so nobody is left managing a misunderstanding alone.
What is included
- A night or two with a host family, arranged through the community rather than around it
- Payment agreed in advance and made directly to the host family or community group
- A guide or community liaison on hand for the whole stay
- Meals taken with the family, with dietary needs discussed beforehand
- Activities chosen by the hosts — farming, cooking, crafts, walking, school visits in term time
- A clear conversation about comfort, facilities and privacy before you decide
Good to know
- Comfort is simple: shared washing areas and basic rooms are normal. We will describe exactly what to expect.
- Ask before photographing people or their homes. Consent is not a formality here.
- A homestay fits best as one or two nights inside a longer safari, not as the whole trip.
Best for: Travellers who want to understand a place through the people who live in it, and are comfortable with simple.
