South Africa, Namibia & Botswana

Southern Africa’s Grand Contrasts

Our longest southern journey: four distinct environments, three countries, and the flights that make it work.

There is no way to do this by road in a sensible time, so the journey is built around three short flights. Cape Town gives you the mountain and the food, the Namib gives you silence and scale, the Delta gives you water and walking, and Chobe gives you elephants in numbers you will not see elsewhere. Seventeen nights means each chapter has room.

Luxury accommodation, proposed rather than committed. Specific properties and rates are shared privately in your proposal.

Safaris we sell

Journeys on this route

Each can run on its own, or be joined into the full combination above.

Before you decide

  • Three international flights inside one trip need the dates fixed early, especially in high season.
  • Light-aircraft luggage limits apply in Botswana; soft bags only.
  • This is a long journey — we would build a rest day into Cape Town and another on the Delta water.

Questions about this combination

Is eighteen days realistic?

Yes, but it is a serious trip. We would not shorten it much without dropping one country rather than squeezing the others.

Can we finish at Victoria Falls?

Yes. From Kasane it is a short transfer, and an extra night there is easy to arrange.

When should we travel?

July to October suits the Delta and Chobe best; the Namib is good year-round, though summer is very hot.
