Botswana & Namibia
Okavango Delta, Etosha & Sossusvlei
Waterways, wildlife and desert landscapes in one contrasting Southern African journey. Fly-in connections can help manage the distances.
Botswana’s Delta and Chobe give you water, elephant herds and big-game viewing; Namibia answers with dunes, desert silence and Etosha’s waterholes. A direct flight between Maun or Kasane and Windhoek removes a two-day drive and makes the contrast feel deliberate rather than exhausting.

Before you decide
- Light-aircraft luggage limits apply in Botswana; soft bags are needed.
- Namibian driving distances are long; the route keeps two nights in the desert and three in Etosha.
- Sossusvlei is best visited at sunrise, which means an early start from camp.
Questions about this combination
Can we add Victoria Falls?
Yes. Kasane is close to the falls, and an extra night there is easy to arrange.
When is the Delta at its best?
The flood arrives in the dry months, so June to October is popular. Wildlife viewing is good in the green season too, with different conditions.
How much flying is involved?
Two or three short hops in Botswana plus one regional flight. It is the most efficient way to link these areas.
